It’s taken us a bit to get photos posted here and on Flickr, but everyone seemed to have a great time (especially the birthday boy!) at Del’s recent first birthday party. We gathered friends, family, neighbors and daycare classmates on Sunday, October 5th on Mercer Island for two hours of hanging out, BBQ, cake and presents.

As would be expected, Del made off with quite a bit of loot, and quite the sugar rush from his share of the cake!

After the Fremont Solstice Parade, we headed out to Mercer Island to help Kevin and Jenn’s son Sam celebrate his first birthday! Lots of toys, ice cream cake and pictures taken, and a fun afternoon was had by all. Del and Sam got some quality “hanging out” time as well, and it’s always a blast to see the second generation of Sutton and Carmony kids becoming friends!

Another weekend, another round of croquet playing on a dreary Saturday afternoon here in Seattle. Some of the locals have begun referring to this as “June-uary”, and the weather has certainly felt more like fall than spring. Nonetheless, Del had a good time out and about yesterday, getting in some quality play time with Sam and just lounging around in general at Coleman Park in Seattle’s Mt. Baker.

Croquet season officially kicked off this Memorial Day weekend with a Saturday afternoon get-together at Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island. This was one of the first times Del and Sam (Kevin and Jenn’s little boy) have had a chance to get together since they’re both big enough to really start interacting.

The two seemed to have a good time together, hanging out, playing with each other’s toys and sampling nibbles of food off the barbecue.
