Just a couple quick videos of Del having a great time playing in his Jumping Johnny last night…

Sit Up… Roll Over… Good Boy!

Last night proved to be one of the more exciting Del nights in quite some time, as the “lazy baby” FINALLY managed to roll over onto his stomach for the first time (without our help/intervention). For weeks now, he’s either been unable to figure out what to do with his lower arm (which kept getting pinned under him) or, just as commonly, stopped halfway through a roll and went back onto his back (hence the term “lazy baby”). But last night, Del was motivated enough trying to get to one of his toys that he finally pulled it off, not once, but three times during the evening. 

On top of the successful rolls, he’s also gotten very adept at sitting upright. This has been improving in recent weeks, but now he’s able to stay in an upright, sitting position for good stretches (five minutes plus) without having to lean forward to grab his feet or falling backward to the ground.

He can roll over, he can sit… now we just need to teach him how to fetch!

Cake Face and Other Adventures in Las Vegas

We’re getting caught up on things here in Seattle after a fun trip to Las Vegas last week to visit Dianne’s family and getting a few pics posted to Flickr and here on the website.

Aside from having a great time catching up, showing off the little guy and relaxing, Del had a chance to visit with his cousin Angelo and meet (for the first time) his cousin Bryce. Bryce was a bit shy around Del, while Del was his usual social self, smiling for everyone (and the camera). We managed to snag a few good pics of Del and Bryce together on the couch, as well as Del enjoying some of Bryce’s mountain of awesome toys!

And of course we can’t forget one of the most exciting moments of the trip; our discovery that Del is indeed a big fan of strawberry shortcake…
